This post is on how to make an easter bunny footprint craft with your little one!

As a former K-12 art teacher, I’ve done my fair share of adorable kid art activities and crafts. And now as a new mom, I’m so excited to start creating art with my little guy!
This easter bunny foot craft is super easy to do, and there is no right or wrong way. I’m obsessed with my baby’s sweet feet so this footprint activity makes an adorable memory to look back on someday!
It’s my baby’s first Easter so I’m excited to make some sweet Easter art with him. Let’s get started!

How To: Easter Bunny Footprint Craft

For this cute Easter activity, you’ll need baby feet 🙂 paint, paper, a paper plate, a pen, and any other preferred art supplies. Below are all the supplies I used.
Supplies I Used:
A Paper Plate
Pens
Watercolor Paint
Choose paper or canvas for painting
You can do this footprint Easter craft on paper or canvas. I decided to use watercolor paper because it holds up well.
Pour paint onto a surface

I used a paper plate to pour the washable paint onto. You can also paint your child’s foot with a paintbrush if that’s easier.
I decided to use green paint (shocker) for this craft, but any color will do!
Dip feet into paint & press onto paper
Dip your child’s foot one at a time into the paint and place foot onto the paper.

Once the foot is covered with paint, press it down onto the paper and lift it up quickly once you think you made an efficient impression. If you leave the foot down too long, wiggly toes may start moving around!

I angled the feet outwards so the finished bunny would look like it was sitting down.
Definitely practice and plan to make a couple sheets of footprints. Unless you somehow get it perfect on the first try, it can be challenging to position their feet correctly, especially if you have a wiggly baby!
I used a scrap piece of paper to test making footprints before I started. We realized we didn’t need a lot to paint for a good footprint.

Draw your bunny
Now it’s time to draw your bunny face! There are many ways to draw a rabbit, so make yours however you like or copy mine.
I sketched out the face before starting so I had a basic idea before jumping further. There are many references online if you need inspiration.

You essentially need ears, eyes, and a nose to make this look like a bunny. Feel free to add cute details such as rosy cheeks, eyelashes, etc!
I decided to use watercolor for the face details, but you can use the leftover paint you used for the footprint. If you aren’t comfortable with painting, colored pencils or markers work too!

As I mentioned, there is no right or wrong way to do this sweet bunny footprint craft. It’ll still come out adorable in the end!

I continued adding watercolor details and occasionally went in with a black pen and outlined some areas. For the highlights in the eyes, I used a white gel pen.

You can make this as simple or as detailed as you want. This was my final result for the face!

Bunny Foot Art
I hope you enjoyed this post on how to make a cute Easter bunny footprint painting with your little one! Feel free to share this post with other parents or teachers.
This Easter Craft is great for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. If I were to do this bunny craft with preschoolers, I would encourage them to draw their own bunny faces! An idea would be to draw the eyes and nose for them as a guide and then let them draw ears and whatever other scribbles they want to add.
I’m looking forward to creating many more baby art tutorials on my blog. Thanks for reading!
