I recently added boxed notecard sets to my shop. I’ve been selling single cards and sets of 6 for years, but now I’m selling sets of 8 in a card box!
In this post, I wanted to share what I’m using and how I’ll be shipping these to help anyone who wants to sell greeting cards in their shop.
I have written many posts about selling greeting cards, packaging greeting cards, etc, and not much has changed until these new boxed sets. So I decided to write a post about them.
I only have one box set up at the moment, but my goal this year is to add more. My greeting card collection has grown so much that I can now make bundles of all different designs that go together nicely. It’s so much fun!

Packaging Greeting Card Sets

Okay, so as I mentioned, I sell single cards and sets of 6. My sets of 6 can easily fit in a clear cellophane bag. I wanted to create larger sets but knew the cellophane bag couldn’t hold them and wouldn’t look as nice as a box did, so I searched for a box that would work.
I found these greeting card boxes on Amazon, and they look great! I tested how many cards I could fit nicely with the envelopes, and I decided on 8 cards. So, 8 cards and 8 envelopes make 16 pieces in the box.
They look professional for my cards and I am pleased! I purchased the 4.5 x 6 x 1″ size for my A2 cards. It’s literally the perfect fit.
The boxes are easy to construct, and I really like the clear window in the front of the box so the card art shows through.
Shipping The Boxed Sets
I ship my greeting cards (singles & sets of 6) in a rigid mailer. Unless it’s a large order, which would get a shipping box. I explain a little more about my card shipping process here.
These boxed sets will not fit in a rigid mailer, so I decided to ship them in bubble mailers. The cards are protected in the card box, so they should be safe as they travel to their destination.
Handmade Greeting Cards
I love creating and selling handmade cards in my shop. It’s pretty awesome to think about how people all over the country use them to give to others. It makes me feel great. 🙂
