I’m so excited to be shipping out my FIRST wholesale order after joining Faire recently!

The other day I just posted a blog that I’m now selling my products wholesale on Faire, and now I’m shipping out my first large order. I’m over the moon in excitement! This is a great step into growing my business even further.

In this post, I’m going share exactly what products of mine sold and the tools I used to create them, package them, and ship them out!

I hope my transparency can help others out in some way. When I was first starting out selling my art online, I was constantly researching to learn from others.

One of my goals here at the Green Artist Blog is to help out fellow artists and creatives when I can!

What Sold:

In this wholesale order, I sold 6 different greeting cards of mine for a total of 54 cards.

Here are the cards below:

Enchanted Forest Card

Firefly Forest Card

Into The Woods Card

Moon And Stars Card

Mystical Sunset Forest Card

and my Sailboat Ocean Card.

This order included some of the most popular greeting cards that I offer.

How I Created The Cards:

All these cards are from my original paintings and mixed media art. I scan them into my computer and then make adjustments as needed.

For the paper, I use Red River Paper because the quality is excellent. They also come pre-scored which is a huge time saver for me. I purchase the envelopes for my greeting cards from them as well.

They have several different greeting card papers to choose from, but I use the 60lb. Polar Matte Greeting Cards.

I print all my greeting cards and prints on a Canon Pixma Pro-200. This printer is amazing and I recommend it to anyone looking to print their artwork.

How I Packaged The Cards:

All my greeting cards get packed in a cellophane sleeve. This helps protect them (obviously) and makes the card look great.

Since this is a wholesale order for a shop, they of course have to look neat and presentable so customers want to buy them.

These are the cellophane sleeves I use for my A2 greeting cards:

How I Shipped The Order:

I use a thermal label printer to print my shipping labels and I 100% recommend one if you sell artwork online.

The model I have is the Rollo USB Shipping Label Printer. This has been such a time saver as I used to print all my shipping labels on a regular printer, cut them, and tape them on packages!

I also have a small scale in my studio to weigh packages and use free Priority boxes from the post office for larger orders.

A few of my shipping tools are linked above but you can see more supplies I use for other orders in my storefront here.

Overall, I’m so excited that I got this order and am looking forward to shipping out more large wholesale orders with Faire.

If you are an artist that sells your work online, I’d recommend looking into selling on Faire. It’s a great way to get your work into stores all around the country and get more orders and customers.

Let me know if you have any questions in the comment section below!
