This post is about creating rock art with acrylic markers.
I’ve recently fallen in love with rock painting again thanks to acrylic markers.
Acrylic markers just make the rock painting process so easy. I’ve never been a big fan of acrylic painting, but acrylic markers make me actually enjoy it.
Arrtx sent me a box of their 60-color acrylic marker set to try, and I wanted to share my thoughts on them and what I made with them. 🙂

My first impression of this marker set was the box itself, and I was immediately impressed. Packaging says a lot about a product, and these markers came in a quality box that is nicely organized.

This set is full of gorgeous colors. That makes it easy to create rock art when there are so many color choices!

To put these acrylic markers to the test, I tested them by painting some rocks. Rocks are super porous, so I can always tell a good quality marker by painting on a rock. Spoiler: these pass the test!
These Arrtx Acrylic Markers are super juicy and layer beautifully even on a rock (which isn’t always the easiest to paint on). I haven’t tried these yet on paper, but I can imagine they are great on so many surfaces.
A highlight of these markers is the smooth ink flow and the high-coverage coloring. Just make sure you shake well before using!

These sunflower rocks were my first little creations while testing out these acrylic markers. I’m having so much fun and cannot wait to make more.
A reason acrylic markers are great is that you can use them on so many surfaces. Like rocks, wood, ceramic, glass, fabric, paper, canvas, etc!
If you are an artist or crafter, having a set of acrylic markers on hand is a great idea. There are endless possibilities with these markers!
This post was all about acrylic markers rock art.
