Lately, I’ve been painting little watercolor landscapes on 4×3″ paper. For some reason, painting tiny has been all I’ve wanted to do. It’s easier, less stressful, and fun to experiment with. But that’s a blog post for another day.
In this post, I’d like to share some of the beautiful landscapes I’ve painted over the past few weeks. I can’t stop painting them!
These paintings were all done on Meeden Cold Press Paper. I’m the newest fan of Meeden watercolor paper! I’ll discuss more on that later in the post.
Take a look at some of the paintings I made in these TikTok videos:

I typically always use Arches Watercolor Paper, but I tried Meeden Watercolor Paper (way cheaper by the way) and was surprised HOW SIMILAR it is to Arches.
And since Meeden is much more affordable, I feel way less pressure when painting on it. It’s funny how that works. Every dollar counts when you’re a starving artist, lol.
The pack of Meeden 4×3″ paper comes with 5 packs, and each pack has 10 sheets. So you get 50 sheets for 4×3″ paper for a GREAT price. You cannot beat it.

From now on, I’ll be buying these small packs of paper for my little paintings. Although I could cut up my larger watercolor paper into smaller sizes, I prefer not to have to worry about it.
I love doing the little landscapes, and since I’ve been posting them on social media, everyone else seems to like them too.
I’m selling a bunch of these mini watercolor landscapes in my shop. Check them out here!
Stay tuned for a lot more mini paintings to come. If you aren’t already, follow me on TikTok to see them first. I’m always posting on there!
Thanks for reading!

Hi. I have a Meeden easel, but I didn’t know they made watercolor paper too! And I agree, creating small watercolors certainly reduces the stress of making something perfect. I find the small size is great for experimentation.
