Once the holidays are over and the new year is here, Valentine’s Day is basically around the corner.
Adding some subtle Valentine’s Day decor to your home is fun even if it’s not your favorite holiday.
I personally have always loved the color pink and all things hearts and romance, so I love to add some loving but subtle decor into my home for the month of February.
Decorating subtle for Valentine’s Day is a good idea if you’re not into loud and “tacky” decorations. A lot of these ideas below are subtle enough to leave out any time of year, and personally, I love decor that can be used whenever.
When To Decorate For Valentine’s Day
Since Valentine’s Day is February 14th, when February 1st hits, you don’t have much time before the holiday. Personally, I like to start at the end of January. By the end of January, I’m completely out of Christmas mode and ready for some new decor accents around my home. And since February is a short month, I think leaving Valentine’s Decor up for the whole month is totally acceptable.
Subtle Valentine’s Day Decor Ideas
- Have roses or other flowers out on your table or living area
- Heart decor (Think pillows, blankets, garland, art, towels, etc. Endless ideas for heart decor!)
- Add pink and red accents around your home (Could be anything!)
- Twinkling lights (Pink, red, hearts, anything with romantic vibes)
Subtle Valentines Day Decorations
Below are some of my favorite subtle valentines decor that really can be used any time of year.
Crystal Heart-Shaped Jewelry Box
Metal Heart Wall Decor
Pink Or Red Towels
Pink Crystal Glasses
Reversible Wooden Hearts
Red Heart Garland
Pink Or Red Twinkling Lights
All of the ideas above are simple and super subtle. I love to decorate with hand towels. Pink or red towels are a great way to bring in Valentine’s Day aesthetic without going over the top. Same with candles, lights, tablecloths, drinking glasses, wreaths, and more!
