Are you an artist looking to further your skills? You’re in the right place because this post is about Skillshare art classes!
Have you heard of the online learning website called Skillshare?
Skillshare is an awesome online education platform with so many creative classes to choose from. They really have just about any sort of class on there. Some popular categories include art, design, photography, writing, marketing, and more.
I joined Skillshare quite a few years ago and try to take several classes a month. You never stop learning and I think it is so important for artists and creatives to continue their education throughout their careers.

Let’s be honest. No one knows everything, and even the most talented person could learn new tips, tricks, or even a new hobby or medium! Moral of the story: no one is perfect, and as humans, we are always learning. And if you’re a Gemini like me, we are obsessed with learning and mastering everything.
Skillshare Art Classes
I’m going to link some popular art categories and classes on Skillshare below. As I mentioned earlier, they have a wide range of courses in almost every topic, so make sure to browse their site to see what catches your eye! You can’t go wrong with a free month trial either. There are short courses and longer ones, you really could do one a day if you wanted to!
Fine Art Skillshare Classes
Want to advance your watercolor skills? Or maybe further your acrylic or oil painting abilities? Maybe you just want to learn how to draw better and need help with the basics. Skillshare has an art class for every level. Below are a few great fine art courses, but trust me, there are 1,000s more available!
- The Art & Science Of Drawing
- Acrylic Painting For Beginners: Painting A Landscape
- Paint Like Van Gogh
Graphic Design Skillshare Classes
Okay so I have a degree in Graphic Design, and I have taken a bunch of amazing design classes on Skillshare. I’ll say it again and again, we never stop learning folks. Degree or not, take any class you can get your hands on. Below are some amazing graphic design courses.
- Adobe Photoshop CC – Essentials Training Course
- Graphic Design Masterclass (this has over 18 hours of material!)
- How To Design A Modern Logo
Photography Skillshare Classes
As an artist, you need to know basic photography fundamentals so you can take great photos of your artwork. You actually don’t need a professional camera, and there are classes on how to utilize your cellphone to take great photos. I use my professional camera for basically everything, but sometimes when I don’t feel like taking it out I use my iPhone to record content and take quick product photos.
- iPhone Photography: How To Take Pro Photos On Your Phone
- Fundamentals of DSLR Photography
- Adobe Lightroom: Finding Your Unique Editing Style
This post was all about Skillshare art classes.

There’s a skillshare class for everyone! Above I listed a few courses from the fine art, design, and photography categories. There is also a bunch of business classes, marketing courses, lifestyle classes, music, web design, creative writing, and more! I had a hard time choosing just a few classes to feature in this post because there are so many on there.
If you found this post and have been thinking of learning new things, this is your sign to try out Skillshare.
While there are many online educational platforms out there with art classes, in my experience, I have found Skillshare for artists to be one of the best.
If you have taken any Skillshare art classes before, I’d love to hear which ones!
