Now that I’m one month into motherhood, I’m quickly learning what baby products work and which ones don’t. This also goes for learning the ins and outs of caring for a baby, as a first-time mom! 🙂
There are so many baby products out there, and I can confidently say what has been working for us in caring for our newborn. I realized quickly newborns don’t need a lot of items, and their needs are pretty simple, love, feeding, care, and sleep.

When I was creating my registry, I was overwhelmed by the vast amount of baby items out there on the market. There are a trillion options for every product you can think of, and it’s hard to know if that item will work for you and your baby.
In this post, I go over my absolute favorite baby products that have been great for us so far into parenthood. I hope this post can help future moms and dads when deciding what to get for their babies!

Favorite Baby Products One Month Into Motherhood
Products we’re using every day so far with our newborn baby!

Dr. Brown’s Bottles
I did a lot of research for the best baby bottles before giving birth, and I decided to give Dr. Brown’s bottles a try. We absolutely love them and have been excellent so far for our newborn. The anti-colic system is amazing, they don’t spill, are easy to clean, and our baby has been drinking out of them with no problems.
Baby Shusher
This is one of the luxury items as not all babies need white noise, but this sound machine has easily become one of my favorite baby products so far. It really helps our baby fall asleep and as a bonus, it makes us fall asleep fast once we put him down in his bassinet at night. Great for babies and adults! 🙂
Changing Pad Liners
These changing pad liners have been so awesome. I’m glad I got a couple packs because some days you go through a lot of them when accidents happen. We use them on our changing table but they are also great for travel, to place under bassinet sheets so you don’t get the mattress wet (learned that quickly), and for on-the-go diaper changes. I highly recommend these as you’ll need them!
Graco Pack ‘n-Play With Bassinet & Changer
This baby item has been a game-changer for us. The Graco Pack ‘n-Play Travel Dome LX-Playard features a removable bassinet, a changing table, built-in storage, and a playard. I researched bassinets while pregnant and didn’t want a single bassinet that would be quickly grown out of and thrown into storage.
The removable bassinet has been great as we can move it around the house and he can sleep wherever we are. I have so much more to say about this item, so I may write a separate post, but I 100% recommend this favorite baby item!
Sterilizer
We don’t have a dishwasher, so I definitely wanted a sterilizer to sterilize bottle parts. I love this sterilizer because it doesn’t take up a lot of space on the counter and you can fit quite a few bottles, bottle parts, and pacifiers in it. It comes with 3 modes, sterilize, dry, and sterilize and dry.
Hack-Proof Baby Monitor
I also did a lot of research on baby monitors when creating my registry, and this hack-proof baby monitor was highly recommended among parents. I’ve seen the scary TikTok videos of baby monitors getting hacked, so I knew we had to have a hack-proof non-WiFi model.
This monitor has been great so far and it’s great for peace of mind.
The Ollie Swaddle
This baby swaddle caught my eye when shopping because it can be used for different stages as your baby grows. The Ollie Swaddle is super easy to use and our baby sleeps so well in it. Plus it makes me happy that we will use it for a long time, and isn’t just a product he’ll quickly grow out of.
Burp Cloths
This is a simple favorite baby product, but these burp cloths have been great multi-use cloths for just about anything. We use them for burp cloths, as an extra protection cloth during diaper changes, etc. They are very soft and absorbent. Great to have on hand for just about anything!
Favorite Baby Products
I hope this post was helpful if you are researching baby products for your new baby. I, myself, am an avid researcher so I always enjoy reading about other’s favorite products and recommendations.
It is quite amazing how fast you learn though in these early days, even with no sleep. 🙂
Thanks for reading!
