I’ve always loved to read, but I went through a time when I really would only read a few books a year. Now I’ve gotten back into it and can’t put books down!
In this post, I share some books I recently read and what I’m currently reading.

I know this author has been popular for a while, but I have discovered Freida McFadden’s books and cannot get enough!
The Housemaid is the first book I read by this author and I’m now starting book #4 of hers (not going in a specific order, they are all standalone books).
These books are addictive. Every time I start a new one I usually finish it within a day. Are they the best books I’ve ever read? No, but they are fun to read and you just want to keep reading to find out the twists. So I’d say they are pretty good books then!
I’ve read The Housemaid, The Housemaid’s Secret, The Teacher, and now I’m starting Never Lie. Highly recommend any of her books for a fun quick read with lots of twists and unexpected endings.
Re-Reading My Favorite Childhood Books

Re-reading books from my childhood?? Yup! And those books are The Series Of Unfortunate Events.
And in all honesty, are they really even children’s books? If you’ve read them or even seen the Netflix series, you know they are pretty dark. They aren’t called The Series Of Unfortunate Events for no reason.
Yes, they are technically kid books but I am enjoying re-reading as an adult. Definitely picking up some more stuff now that I didn’t as a kid. I really loved the show they did on Netflix and plan to re-watch it soon!

If you’ve never read them, I’d recommend them to adults, and upper-elementary/middle school age +.
I still have my original set of books I had as a kid which I love. My mom would always surprise me with a new book from this series that would be sitting on my bed when I got home from school. A great memory for me. 🙂
What are you currently reading? Any books you recommend? Let me know in the comment section below so I can add them to my huge to-read list. 🙂
