Today I want to briefly share a really fun game we played at my baby shower recently. When searching for games to play at my shower, I didn’t want the same old games you see at every shower.
Being an artist, I love to work with my hands and create. I stumbled upon the idea of making Play-Doh babies, and I immediately knew I wanted the Play-Doh baby shower game at my shower!
How do you play the Play-Doh baby shower game?

Everyone gets a small can of Play-Doh to make a baby.
I knew this would be fun because there are so many different ways people could go with this, and it’s cool to see what people create.
We put the Play-Doh tubes with a sign on my favor table and everyone grabbed a can. After eating and during presents, people began working on their babies. Toward the end of the shower, I picked my favorites for a prize.
You only need Play-Doh to play this cute game, but here is what we used:
- Play-Doh
- A sign explaining the game
- Cupcake liners to place the baby in after making it
- Pencils to write name on the cupcake liner
For the Play-Doh, we got a pack of 36 which had a great variety of colors for guests to choose from.
Play-Doh Babies

Unfortunately, we didn’t get a picture of all the Play-Doh babies that were made, but here are a few! As you can see everyone creates something different. I had a hard time picking my favorites!
I just chose 5 of my favorites to win a prize, but you can create different categories for winners. For example, best overall, funniest, most creative, most detailed, etc.
Play-Doh Baby Shower Game
Overall, I think the Play-Doh baby game is super fun and everyone who attended had never played it before at a baby shower. I highly recommend it as it’s interactive, funny, and awesome to see what people come up with!

That’s a neat idea for baby shower! Im thinking about this! But what size can of playdoh per guest gets?
Thanks for commenting!
I used the 3 oz cans, which I linked in the post. It was plenty and most had some left over in the cans when they were done. I think they do make smaller cans but I’m not sure if it would be enough. A lot of guests shared colors at their tables as well so most of them were used up. Any left over cans that were untouched I saved and now my 18 month old plays with it. 🙂
