I love new art supplies, I mean, who doesn’t?
Ohuhu very nicely sent me some of their products to try, and I can’t wait to share all about them!

I am an artist of many mediums and do not exclusively stick to one. Most of the time I work with watercolors, and create mixed media pieces using colored pencils, oil pastels, my iPad, ink, etc!
I do not use markers very much because I never got the results I liked when using them. Spoiler alert: my mind has definitely changed.
Maybe it was because I felt limited with other markers. Any other markers I’ve used were streaky, but the Ohuhu Markers are super smooth.

Ohuhu Marker Review & First Impressions
Everything was packed so neat and safe and I just kept getting more impressed as I opened all the boxes.

I was pleased to find out that the markers come in their own travel case! The case has a strap to carry them on your shoulders. Definitely great for artists who travel.
Below I’ll briefly review each item and then share what I made using the Ohuhu Markers.
Ohuhu Alcohol Ink Markers (120 Colors)
The 120-pack of markers is an artist’s dream. The set I got has 2 ends, a broad tip end, and a brush tip end. On the Ohuhu site, they also offer sets with a brush tip and fine tip.

I mostly work solely with the brush tip end, as that’s just what I’m comfortable with. The broad tip would be great for urban sketching or covering large areas of a drawing.
An amazing feature of these markers is they are smudge-free!! I tested this by drawing a line and quickly running my finger over it. They dry instantly.

I recommend swatching out all the colors to see their true color as the caps don’t accurately reflect the actual color of the marker.
Bamboo Organizer

The Ohuhu Bamboo Organizer gets a 10/10. It’s sturdy and stackable, and maybe the best part was that it came completely assembled! It looks so cute on my desk and I love seeing all the markers organized.
Marker Pad

This marker pad is literally the best thing ever. The Ohuhu Marker Pad is double-sided and the markers do not bleed through the pages at all! I was SHOCKED when I flipped over the page and didn’t see streaks coming through the back side.
The paper is also so soft and I couldn’t stop petting it lol. It’s amazing paper and a dream to draw on.
Sunflower Marker Drawing
I didn’t waste any time when I unboxed the markers and got right into drawing. Of course, I decided to draw a sunflower (I’m obsessed with sunflowers if you’re new here).

I layered the colors from light to dark and kept adding more details. Honestly, I was very loose with it and was almost “scribbling” to get a feel of the markers.

The markers are extremely smooth when drawing and you don’t have to work too hard to leave a mark on the paper. They layer nicely and was able to build up areas of color easily.
Final Thoughts
Overall I 100% recommend Ohuhu Markers along with the paper and accessories. I haven’t tried the markers on any other type of paper but I think I’ll be sticking exclusively with the marker pad.

Check out the Ohuhu site for a wide variety of marker sets, journals, sketchpads, and more.
In my opinion, if you’re investing in the markers, definitely get the paper too.
These markers may be my new favorite tool in my toolbox. I’m going to challenge myself and create a full-page drawing with just markers. I’ll report back when I do so!
Can’t wait to create more unique art with them.
Thanks for reading š
