My 6 Month Blogging Update

Facebook0Tweet0Pin1
This post may contain affiliate links which means I earn an affiliate commission for qualifying purchases at no cost to you. Thanks for the support!

I started my blog at the end of 2021, here we are in June, and this blog is already six months old. I’ve learned so much in this short amount of time and have actually had success with my blog already! I’m going to review how far I’ve come so far, what I’ve learned, and what I’m planning next.

For someone who does this part-time (or more like part, part, time) I’m surprised at the growth my blog has achieved already (even if it’s small growth).

I plan to put more time into this blog over the next 6 months as I wind down other projects and commitments in my life, so I’m super excited to continue to grow this blog and see what it can become. Blogging can be a great way to review your growth, learn new things, and make money!

Even just from my beginning posts, I can already see how I’ve improved. I shell out about 1-3 posts a month. That is not a lot AT ALL compared to bloggers who post 1-2 times per week, but I’m still getting into the groove.

We all start somewhere.

I’ve discovered you can get really overwhelmed at first when you read other blogger’s journeys because you feel like you have to put out so much content right away to start to see the growth. Thankfully I firmly told myself “you’ll get there” at the beginning of my journey so I wouldn’t get stressed.

One of my goals was to make money off google ads and through my affiliate links and I have! I really didn’t have high expectations in my first 6 months for affiliate sales, but I have made several affiliate sales and have made some extra side cash. I’m not rolling in the dough, but hey…. it’s a start!

If you want to start a project, just go for it.

So I guess I’m here to say if you have a goal or want to start a new project, go for it! From my experience, it is always overwhelming and a learning curve in the beginning, but your future self will thank you down the road. I am thanking myself 6 months ago for pulling the plug and starting this new blog. Sometimes I cannot honestly believe I have already created all of this, as small as it is, it’s still something I have fully created on my own. It’s only up from here.

I have wanted to start a blog for years, and I told myself in December of 2021 to just go for it. It’s easy to get in the mindset of “someday I want to do x_” so you just gotta push out of that. Life is short, and success takes time, so if you want to start blogging or a new craft like wood burning art, go for it! I’m here to cheer you on.

Blue Host: The best affordable web hosting

One of the things I am grateful for is Bluehost web hosting. With Bluehost, I was able to start my blog for such an affordable price. If you are looking for web hosting that won’t cost an arm and a leg, definitely check out Bluehost. Besides price, it’s a great hosting platform to get your blog going as a newbie.

Happy 6 months to this blog and I cannot wait to see how it grows more for the rest of the year! ?

If you like my content and want to see more of my work, make sure to follow me on TikTok and check out my website to shop my art, crystals, and other unique items I create and curate.

Till next time!
