The first month of 2024 is already done!
I am honestly still writing 2023 on a lot of things. Is anyone else totally bad with writing the new year on dates for a while? I usually finally accept it’s a new year around February.
January Highlights
This has been an excellent month for my small business! I am so thankful and blessed. Every year I hope to grow and do better than the year before, and so far, I am off to a great start.

Now that I sell quite a bit on my shop website, I always love seeing the orders and what people pick. The picture above was a unique card order from my website!

Another highlight of January is spending time with my sweet gummy bear, who I cannot wait to teach art to. 🙂 He has grown so MUCH in January. Jumping from 6-month clothing right into 9-month clothing.
Art I’ve Created

This month I finished up some old pieces that I will share eventually but my new piece of the month is called “Moonlit Florals” and I LOVED creating it.
I didn’t have much plan in mind when I sat down to start creating. I just knew I wanted a full moon and some flowers and went from there. This piece is made up of watercolor, and oil pastels, then was finished up with some digital details.
It’s available as an art print and as a greeting card!
Things I’m Loving
I love my new watercolor palette! I recently shared a blog all about my new custom watercolor palette. So if you’re interested in reading more about it to see what colors I use, the brand, etc, check out that post!

I bought some new watercolor brushes on Amazon and they have been nice to work with. Personally, I don’t invest a lot of money into brushes because I beat them up. I prefer to invest in quality paint and paper, which I think is the most important.

This brush set is synthetic squirrel hair and they are very affordable. I definitely recommend them if you are looking for affordable watercolor brushes.
Goodbye January, Hello February!

See you in my next monthly recap!
