What jobs can you get with an art degree? There are many!
However, pursuing an art degree is often perceived as a bold and unconventional choice. You may get comments like “you’ll never get a job” to people laughing in your face asking if you want to be a starving artist. Unfortunately, I’ve had this happen, but I’m the one laughing now.
What many don’t understand is that an art degree is so much more than standing behind an easel all day.

Sure, many art degree graduates go on to be a traditional artist and make it. But believe it or not, an art degree can help you excel in many different careers.
A degree in art opens doors to a world of creative and fulfilling career opportunities that can be financially rewarding and personally satisfying.
For a little background, I have an art studio bachelor’s degree with a concentration in graphic design. I went on to start my master’s degree in art education but didn’t finish because I changed my mind about teaching.
I hope this post helps you see there are many careers you can get with an art degree. Let’s get into it!
