I’ve been itching to get a new watercolor sketchbook and finally found one that lives up to my standards.
I would say watercolors are my main medium now, and I’ve been hooked on painting on Arches Cold Press 100% Cotton Paper. Most watercolor journals on the market are not 100% cotton paper. It’s actually hard to find one that is, which is unfortunate.

The price for this sketchbook is very affordable in my opinion.
The paper is not quite the same as the Arches, but it comes pretty close. I use so much water when painting so having 100% cotton paper is kind of a must so it can hold all the layers and water I put on it.
Since the papers are thick, I used a clip to hold them down when painting.
I haven’t tried it yet, but I’d say you could easily paint on both sides of the pages.
For years I’ve used the Moleskine Watercolor Sketchbook. This is a nice sketchbook but I don’t think I will buy it again, to be honest.
I’m looking forward to filling my new sketchbook with some pretty magical paintings!
