This post is about creative ultrasound photo ideas.
Pregnancy is a beautiful and transformative journey, and ultrasound photos are treasured mementos until you get to meet your little one.
So what can you do with all those ultrasound pictures?
There are so many creative ideas that you can do instead of storing them away in a box.

Our fridge has been covered most of this year with ultrasound photos, and now that our baby is here, I realized I wanted to do something special with them.
I got quite a few ultrasounds so I have many ultrasound photos. His anatomy scan alone took three separate appointments (wiggly baby!) but each string of ultrasound photos is precious to me.
In this blog post, I explore creative and meaningful ways to cherish baby ultrasound photos!

Creative Ways To Use Ultrasound Photos

Create a Pregnancy Journal
One wonderful way to use ultrasound photos is to start a pregnancy journal. Include these images alongside your thoughts, feelings, and experiences throughout your pregnancy. This journal will not only be a lovely keepsake but also a heartwarming gift for your child to treasure in the future.
You could write a description of the day you went to get the ultrasound and anything else you were feeling at the time. It will be a great memory to look back on!
Frame and Display
Choose your favorite ultrasound photo, get it professionally framed, and proudly display it in your home. Framing an ultrasound photo would be a great idea for 4-D ultrasound images where you can see the face clearly.

Turn Them into Keepsake Jewelry
Many companies offer the option to create custom jewelry pieces featuring ultrasound images. You can have a necklace, bracelet, or even a keychain made, which allows you to carry a piece of your baby with you wherever you go. 🙂
Create a Scrapbook
This is similar to a pregnancy journal but a little more artsy with more images. Design a pregnancy scrapbook that features ultrasound photos alongside other photos of your pregnancy, mementos, hospital bracelets, and more. This creative project can be a therapeutic and enjoyable way to document this incredible chapter of your life.
Get Art Made
This doesn’t use ultrasound photos physically, but send a photo of your favorite ultrasound photo to an artist to make into a custom piece of art. Whether that be a watercolor painting, a custom ornament, a wood burning, or whatever you desire!
Baby Shower Decor
Incorporate ultrasound photos into your baby shower decor. You can use them as table centerpieces or create a unique banner with a timeline of your baby’s development. Pinterest is full of ideas!
Nursery Art
Decorate your baby’s nursery with enlarged and framed ultrasound photos. It’s a meaningful and personal touch to the room that will connect your baby to their earliest days.
Create A First Year Box
Purchase a photo keeper storage bin and create a first-year box! Each slot indicates a milestone in your baby’s life. For example, the first slot can be the ultrasound photos, the second slot can be newborn hospital photos, following one month, two months, three months old, etc!
Cherishing Ultrasound Images
There are many creative ways to use ultrasound photos, and the ways mentioned above are just a few!
Whether you choose to frame them, incorporate them into a journal, or get creative with your decor, these images will continue to hold a special place in your heart and serve as a tangible reminder of the remarkable journey of pregnancy.
