Today I want to share some art-themed books for babies.
As an artist and former K-12 art teacher, I know how important art is for children. There are some great baby books about art to get your child into the beautiful world of creativity.

In this post, I will cover many different children’s books about art for your baby or young child.
As a soon-to-be mom (as in any day now), I am so excited to teach my child about my favorite artists and how to express yourself through creating.
Let’s get into some of my favorite art-themed books for babies and young children!

Art-Themed Books For Children

Goodnight, Starry Night (Peek-a-Boo Art)
The Starry Night is a painting that most children can recognize and name. Because of the broad brushstrokes and bold colors, it is a memorable painting that kids love to look at. This art baby book features a fun bedtime lullaby through the starry night. An excellent way to introduce children to famous works of art!
Art for Baby
This baby book features a collection of black-and-white images of modern art. It’s a great contrast-heavy book for younger infants but is still an exciting flip-through as they grow up. A great book to make children interested in visual art!

Beautiful Oops!
The book Beautiful Oops! is a great book that teaches kids it’s okay to make mistakes in art and we can make them into something beautiful. It’s a fun and interactive book that teaches the important lesson that no one is perfect. A must-have for young kids and art classrooms!
Art-themed books to inspire future artists
In my opinion, there is no age too young to introduce your child to art. Though a newborn baby is much different than a 12-month-old baby or a 4-year-old, we can still read and introduce artists and art through a story.
It’s so fun as an adult to see kids get excited about art. When they are young, they aren’t as critical of themselves and create because they actually enjoy it.
I hope you enjoyed this curated list of art books for kids. There are many great books and resources out there, but we are our children’s first teachers to introduce them to art. Here’s to raising the next generation of artists!
