August was a great month. I always look through my camera roll before starting my recap post to remember what the heck I did haha. Nowadays, by 4 PM, I’ve lived 5 lives it seems and barely remember the morning.
I definitely understand the term “mom brain” now. š

I have always enjoyed the month of August because it’s the last month of summer and is just a really beautiful month overall. The days start to get shorter and fall is just around the corner.

A highlight of my summers is always sunflowers. I’m excited for fall to come but I always get a little sad sunflower season is ending.

August Posts
Here are a couple fun posts from August to check out:
August Highlights
It hasn’t been that great of a year for our gardens, anyone else? A lot of things died, didn’t grow that big, or are just behind and probably won’t go anywhere. Thankfully we have a pumpkin and gourds growing! Can’t wait to display these on our porch this fall.

Our dogs love the garden beds! It’s so cute to watch them sniff around and then beg for a cucumber (or two). š

Art I’ve Created
Surprisingly I was able to create a bit of art this month. The painting below is titled “Pink Twilight” and I started creating it during one of my son’s naps.

There were so many chores that had to be done during his nap, but I felt called to create, so I did. And I’m so glad I did!!

During this time of year, I start creating some new things for the holidays. Spooky season is around the corner so I’m creating fun fall landscapes, painting cute ghosts, witch hats, and more. I’ll share more soon!

Hello September!
It’s my favorite time of year so I’m excited for September. My baby turns one this month and I’m feeling so many emotions. We’re throwing a one-a-saurus party for him and can’t wait to share it.
See you next month š
