In this post, I am going to share 7 reasons why I love blogging.

I am new to the blogging world, and this blog hasn’t even seen its first birthday yet, but I love blogging and am so happy I started this journey.

There are many benefits of blogging, and everyone finds joy in it differently. If you are considering starting a blog, I hope my post inspires you to do it!

Why I Love Blogging

A Place To Share Everything I Love

This is obvious but true. I have many interests, so having a lifestyle art blog allows me to have a space to share everything I love.

Extra Income

Blogging can make you money! Even though the money I’ve made with my blog so far isn’t a lot, it’s still extra income that helps me as an artist and small business owner.

My Writing Is Improving

I’ve always wanted to be an author of some sort, and I have written stories in notebooks since I was a kid. I figured starting a blog would help me grow as a writer, and it really has. Blogging makes you think of how you can clearly communicate a topic to an audience. One of my goals is to eventually publish a book, so writing for my blog is preparing me for future projects as well!

I Get To Be Creative

I am an artist, so I am creative every day as a part of my job, but blogging makes you creative in many ways as well. Coming up with blog post titles, projects to share, creating blog thumbnails, and more are all creative sides to running a blog.

Flexibility

Blogging is so flexible. I don’t need to be in my studio to work on my blog. I can be on the road, in bed, camping, and still work on it. The flexibility of blogging is so awesome and one of the biggest reasons why I love it so much. Your blog will always be there for you when you need it!

I Get To Connect and Help Others

I share a lot of tutorials and tools I use for my artwork, and so many people have thanked me for sharing my knowledge. Helping others through my blog is very rewarding and you get to meet so many new people as well through the internet.

I’ve Learned New Things And Continue To Keep Learning

I’ve learned so many things so far in my short blogging career. There is a lot to learn when starting a blog. Besides creating a website, SEO, email marketing, and all that fun stuff, you learn more about the topics you write about. Even if I’m knowledgeable on a subject I’m blogging about, I still research it. You learn every day when owning a blog which is a huge reason why I love blogging.

Blogging is great and anyone can do it.

For many years I always would say “I would love to start a blog” but didn’t ever get the chance to start because of school, life commitments, and being unsure about it all. It is very time-consuming but rewarding. I thank my December 2021 self every day for starting it. I am so happy with what I have built so far.

Want To Start A Blog On A Budget?

I use Bluehost as my hosting service for my WordPress blog because it’s affordable and I didn’t want to spend tons of money when starting my blog. If you want to start a blog on a budget, check out Bluehost!

As I mentioned, there are so many benefits of blogging. It’s great for business, you learn so many skills, and you can make it into an actual job!

Thanks so much for reading!

I recently had someone reach out and ask me a grea I recently had someone reach out and ask me a great question about selling wood burning art. They expressed fear of not being good enough to sell their work and thinking no one would be willing to spend money on their items. I thought this was a great question so I decided to write a detailed post about it.
It’s also a great post for any artist or creative person who is wanting to sell their work. The blog is linked in my stories! 💚
