Are you looking for activities you can do on a full moon?

Happy full moon! I’m writing this post during October’s full moon, but these full moon activities can be done on any full moon during the year. Full moons are powerful, beautiful, and transformational if you know how to use them correctly.

You’ve probably looked up at the night sky at some point in your life and been mesmerized by the glowing, beautiful, moon. Since I was little, I have loved to look out my window at night and just adore the moon. I never knew why I was so attracted to it when I was younger, but now I know I was simply drawn to the energy and magic of it.

The full moon is the brightest and largest of the month, and it brings with it a lot of energy. For this reason, many people use this time as an opportunity to celebrate and reflect on what they’ve accomplished while also getting in touch with their intuition and emotions. There are so many things you can do on a full moon!

7 Full Moon Activities

1. Make Moon Water

Moon water is simply water that has been charged under the moon. I have made moon water several times and love to use it for a variety of things.

All you have to do to make moon water is simply put out a clear container or bottle filled with water under the moon. Remove your bottle before the sun comes out to hold in the moon’s energy.

What can you use moon water for? Lots of things! When you make moon water, the water takes in the energy of the moon. You can use it for manifesting, intention setting, and so much more. I like to use moon water for simple things like watering plants, creating room sprays with the moon’s energy, etc. Read the list below for some ideas.

Ways To Use Moon Water:

  • Water your plants with it
  • Use it for beauty uses
  • Infuse your paintings with the moon! Use moon water for watercolor paintings
  • Cleansing water-safe crystals
  • Drink it to take in the moon’s magic whenever you need it
  • Make moon ice! Fill an ice tray with moon water for magical moon ice cubes
  • Add moon water to an oil essential diffuser

These are a few ideas for moon water uses, but remember the possibilities are endless!

2. Try Out A New Visualization Technique

Visualization is one of the most powerful tools you can use to manifest your dreams. It’s also a great way to relax, get in touch with your inner self, and focus on positive thoughts.

You can do this by creating a vision board, or just thinking of exactly what you want in your head. Your vision board can be done psychically by creating a picture collage or you can create a Pinterest board!

3. Meditate

Meditation under the full moon is very powerful. Take a deep breath, and imagine yourself in a peaceful place.

Focus on what you want in life – what are some things that make you happy? Imagine having these things in abundance around you right now.

4. Charge Your Crystals And Other Magical Tools

I love to charge all my magical items under the full moon every month. Grab your crystals or whatever you want to be charged with the moon’s energy and either set them outside or in a window where the light of the moon is shining in.

5. Do Yoga

Yoga is a great way to relax and get in tune with your body. You can do it anywhere, at any time. Doing yoga under the light of the moon is beautiful, peaceful, and grounding. Plus I can almost guarantee you will sleep really well after a yoga full moon session.

6. Make A Wish

You’ve probably heard the phrase “wish upon a star” but you can do that same thing with the full moon. You can do this verbally or by writing down your wish.

As a manifestation technique, write your wish/what you want to manifest as if you already have it. “I am thankful that my salary has doubled since last year.” I have found this way to be very powerful.

Write your wishes and what you want to manifest into a journal and keep it in a safe place. You can repeat this process every full moon. Remember to always believe in what you are wishing in!

7. Moon Gaze

As I mentioned earlier, I’ve been moon gazing my whole life and that is the main reason I fell in love with the moon.

Going outside and looking at it is a spectacular way to get in tune with nature and your own energy. I’ve found that being outdoors, no matter how cold it is, gives me an added sense of calmness and peace. You can look at the moon from inside or outside—it doesn’t matter! The full moon brings about a deep connection with yourself, so be sure to look up every chance you get to admire its beauty.

Bonus! Use Tarot Or Oracle Cards

I love to pull some cards during the full moon. Use a tarot or oracle deck to see what message you get for the upcoming month. Check out my favorite Tarot and Oracle card decks here.

You can take advantage of every full moon by trying one new thing each time.

Don’t feel like you have to do all of these activities or any of them if you don’t want to. You can pick and choose, or do whatever you feel called to do during the magical full moon. If you have a favorite full moon activity you want to commit to every time, that’s great—but if not, no pressure! The moon will always be there for you when you need it. Sometimes it’s great just to relax and enjoy the magic of the moon.

This post was all about magical full moon activities.

Thanks for reading and let me know your favorite full moon activity in the comments!
